Job summary

Starlink is seeking a Solar Cell Quality Engineer to own the solar cell fab quality, including inline and offline metrology, test methods, sampling, and acceptance criteria. The role focuses on preventing defects from reaching assembly and flight, with emphasis on metrology tools and data-driven quality control.

Responsibilities include establishing MSA/GR&R, calibration, SPC, and collaborator with process engineering to catch drifts early.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
1+ years of relevant experience in design, analysis, and/or system implementation in related fields.

Responsibilities

Own quality of the solar cell fab and prevent defects from leaking downstream.
Lead inline and offline cell metrology and related test equipment; define test methods and acceptance criteria.
Establish sampling plans, GP/GR and acceptance logic for in-process and end-of-line measurements.
Own quality initiatives: GR&R, calibration, golden-sample programs, and data trust across labs.
Develop SPC, spec limits, and action plans to improve yield and reliability.
Mentor technicians and junior engineers; drive a rigorous quality culture in fab.
