Cal Solar Inc. is seeking an entry-level Solar Applications Engineer I to support preconstruction, estimating, and engineering design workflows for commercial solar projects. The role handles blueprint extraction, modeling, bidding inputs, and preliminary site evaluations under structured guidance.

You will work with photovoltaic layouts, BESS, and EV charging infrastructure, gaining exposure to NEC principles and project documentation in a hybrid California setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or related technical field required.
• 0–2 years of solar PV design, project engineering, or electrical estimating experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Preliminary design and blueprint extraction from drawings to support new and retrofit projects.
• Model rooftop, carport, and ground-mount PV arrays in Helioscope and CAD software.
• Input system specs into bidding software to prepare cost estimates and scope descriptions.
• Verify electrical service ratings and main panel capacities against designs.
• Coordinate sales requests, track vendor quotes, and assist lead estimators with bid deliverables.
• Assist with site walks and basic electrical/civil material take-offs.
