Job summary

The Centrica Business Solutions US team is hiring a Solar AC Electrical Foreman in Austin, TX. This role leads installation and modification of electrical systems across diverse job sites, travels as needed, and ensures safety and code compliance while meeting project goals.

You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical equipment, supervise crews, review plans, and contribute to delivering reliable energy solutions for our clients with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.5 years’ experience in commercial/industrial/solar electrician journeyman capacity.
• Thorough understanding of electrical equipment, high and low voltages, electrical theory, power generation, switchgear maintenance and paralleling procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety and pre-work task planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction, installation and modification of electrical systems on varying designs and complexities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults using testing equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure code compliance and system safety through testing and verification.
• Travel to different job sites as needed to fulfill project requirements.
• Provide feedback to management on hazards and safety improvements.
• Perform physical tasks at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, contracts and safety documentation.
