This position is responsible for the processing and testing of soil, asphalt and concrete materials using company and client specific guidelines.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Log in material samples.
• Prepare samples for processing which includes weighing and drying each one.
• Perform tests using appropriate ASTM methods.
• Enter test data manually onto the proper forms.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform general maintenance on lab equipment.
• Assist Drilling and Construction Material Testing Departments as required by Org Supervisor.
• Ensure quality in every step of the testing process.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensures on time and regular attendance.

Educational Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Climb stairs on a regular basis.
• Stand in one place for 1 to 2 hours at a time.
• Stoop and bend to perform equipment maintenance using tools.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE for hazardous materials.
• Wear steel toe shoes as needed.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
