General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Tester to support customer activities on a on-site Bethesda, MD location. The role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and 10+ years of experience in software testing.

You will work with a team to develop and execute test plans in an AWS-enabled, Scrum-based environment, communicating requirements and triaging defects to drive improvements across systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Required Experience: 10+ yrs in software testing or quality assurance.
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with active polygraph; US Citizenship required.

• Perform black box and white box testing in an iterative Scrum environment.
• Coordinate with requirements and software development teams to confirm intended functionality.

HOW SOFTWARE TESTER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Working with a team of testers and software developers to develop and execute test plans and test cases.
• Testing will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques with inputs from multiple stakeholders.
• The work will be done in a dynamic stakeholder environment within AWS.
• The candidate will communicate with both the requirements team and the software development team to fully understand intended functionality and test the system.
• Developing test cases based on requirements.
• Recording test cases results.
• Performing black box and white box testing.
• Create test data for the system that can be used by Test team members.
• Triaging defects with members of the software development team.
• Identifying and proposing system improvements.

• Education: Bachelors (Computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline)
• Required Experience: 10+ yrs
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
