Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors is seeking multiple Software Test Engineers to join our Sensor Research and Analysis Division and support missile defense programs. This role requires strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, collaboration with Agile teams, and clear communication across stakeholders.

Candidates will work with GitLab/Git and Red Hat Enterprise Linux in an Agile environment, contributing to test design, execution, and results communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2-4 years of demonstrated performance in design, development, and testing of real-time software applications and simulations.
• Masters in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with less than 2 years of demonstrated performance in the design, development, and testing of real-time software applications and simulations.
• Experience with GitLab/Git
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe) and applying Agile in a technical/engineering environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations.
• Must be a US citizen possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area to provide full time onsite support.

Leidos Defense Sensors is seeking multiple Software Test Engineers of various levels to join our Sensor Research and Analysis Division and support missile defense programs. Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Test automation or analysis automation experience

• Agile Scrum experience

• Familiarity with Java or UI applications

• Experience with Jira or similar Agile/project management tools

• Exposure to MDA sensors and/or missile defense systems

• Experience with modeling and simulation tools

• Systems engineering familiarity

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
