A leading IT staffing company in California is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role involves debugging and supporting an advanced software automation environment, with a focus on Python programming. Candidates should have strong computer science fundamentals and experience with both Windows and Linux. This 18-month contract role offers the chance to work in an Agile Scrum team, enhancing software functionalities through rigorous testing.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
Experience with object-oriented software design and development is a must.
Programming in the Python scripting language is highly desirable.
Experience with GUI development preferred.
Both Windows and Linux expertise required.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development process desired.
Experience with automated test environments/solutions is highly desirable.
Experience with storage technologies (e.g. SATA/SCSI/PCIe) and drivers is a plus.
Responsibilities
Debug & support engineer of advanced software automation environment.
Development to requirements/acceptance criteria and unit-level testing.
Collaboration with firmware/driver developers and test execution technicians.
Involvement in debug/analysis/reproduction of complex test failures.
