Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Software Test Engineer for Molecular Imaging (PET/CT) within the R&D organization. You will validate software, documentation, and installation workflows across PET/CT systems, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable products.

The role emphasizes cross-functional interaction, identifying issues early, and improving testing and documentation processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging or related technical discipline.
4+ years of experience in software testing or related engineering discipline.
Experience developing and executing test cases and documenting software defects.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in cross-functional product development environments.

Responsibilities

Execute system, software, and installation testing across multiple Molecular Imaging development projects.
Review product requirements with Product Management and R&D to ensure testability and verifiability.
Develop test cases, test plans, and validation strategies from product requirements.
Identify, document, and track software defects; drive issue resolution with engineering teams.
Validate service documentation, installation procedures, release notes, and reinstall instructions for accuracy and usability.
Review technical documentation and collaborate to improve quality and consistency.
Support software releases, tune-ups, configurations, and product updates for PET/CT systems.
Participate in design reviews to identify risks and quality improvements.
Analyze customer and field feedback to identify recurring issues and enhancements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and quality tools.
Collaborate with Software Eng., Systems Eng., Technical Publications, Product Management, Service Eng., and Quality teams throughout the lifecycle.
