Position Overview

As a Software Test Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will have the opportunity to contribute to technologies, products, and services that make a significant difference. This role involves working within a team to execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. You will assist in generating system test work products, developing test and diagnostic programs, designing test fixtures and equipment, and completing specifications and procedures for new products. Your work will include developing functional, environmental, operational, and performance tests on hardware, software, and systems, as well as designing cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting during all phases of product development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate system test work products by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
• Develop test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products.
• Develop functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems.
• Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field.
• Clear understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
• Clear understanding of object-oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages.
