Teledyne Brown Engineering (TBE) is hiring an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our Medical Modeling and Simulation (MM&S) team in support of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC). The team provides software engineering, model and simulation development, analysis, technical support, and training to support medical systems analyses, logistics analyses, operational risk assessments, and theater medical course of action assessments across the Department of Defense (DoD).
Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
Requires a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience, with 5 or more years preferred.
Demonstrated ability to design and execute automated functional, integration, and regression tests to validate simulation workflows, algorithms, model outputs, and system performance. Proficiency with one or more scripting or statistical computing languages such as Python, R, or PowerShell. Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with an ability to independently analyze configurations and system behaviors via output data and/or review of applicable software source code. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced testing environment, while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to describe issues to both the software development team and technical leadership. Ability to complete tasks on time and in compliance with AS9100 and CMMI Maturity Level 3 processes/procedures.
