Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on full-stack Java development.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed architecture.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue frontend technologies.
• Experience integrating AI/ML services and AI-enhanced product capabilities including LLMs.
• Cloud proficiency with AWS/Azure/GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.

As a Software Technical Lead, you will provide technical direction for teams building complex, mission-critical enterprise applications. You’ll combine hands‑on Java development with architecture, engineering leadership, and AI-driven innovation. The role spans full-stack application design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI capabilities. You’ll mentor engineers, establish strong technical practices, and help teams deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. You’ll also work closely with product, data, AI, and client stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective technical strategies. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to shape both the technology and the way modern AI-assisted software teams build products.

Accountabilities

• Lead the technical architecture and design of full-stack Java applications using Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Guide hands‑on development while establishing high standards for code quality, maintainability, security, scalability, and engineering excellence.
• Drive the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into enterprise solutions, including LLM-powered functionality, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering tools and practices that improve development velocity, reliability, quality, and developer experience.
• Mentor and coach engineers across different experience levels, fostering continuous learning, technical growth, and strong engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, data, AI, and engineering teams to define technical strategy and deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.
• Oversee application performance, scalability, observability, reliability, and security across the technology stack.
• Contribute to cloud architecture, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to support reliable and efficient software delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial hands‑on experience developing full‑stack Java applications.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed system architecture.
• Strong experience with modern front‑end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML services or developing AI‑enhanced product capabilities, including familiarity with LLM‑powered solutions or intelligent automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, guiding engineering teams, and making architecture and technology decisions.
• Experience with observability, performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and secure software architecture.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud‑native development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous‑improvement mindset, with an interest in using AI to enhance engineering outcomes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States and able to work without visa sponsorship.
