As a Software System Integrator III, you will:Design and integrate software, firmware, and computing systems solutions with hardware and specialized engineering components across multi-disciplinary systemsDevelop and integrate mission capabilities for next-generation intelligence and Electronic Warfare (EW) platformsApply software standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system lifecycle to support multi-disciplinary solutionsInterface with cross-functional engineering teams, government stakeholders, and industry partners on system integration effortsSolve complex integration problems and recommend enhancements to software and system architectureProvide technical leadership in delivering integration, engineering, and operational support servicesResponsibilities:Design, develop, and support software and firmware components integrated with non-IT engineering systems including hardware, communications, cyber, electrical, or other specialized engineering domainsDesign and document hardware/software interfaces between system components to ensure seamless integrationDevelop and integrate solutions requiring aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledgeImplement distributed and asynchronous programming models to support complex, multi-disciplinary system integrationSupport integration and test events including development, operational, and acceptance testingApply CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automated deployment practices to streamline software integrationDevelop and maintain technical documentation including system integration plans, interface control documents, and integration test proceduresApply system security and information assurance processes to ensure compliance with government requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve complex, multi-layer integration issues across software, hardware, and network componentsSupport the integration of simulations, tactical displays, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems into unified operational capabilitiesInterface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel throughout the integration lifecycleCoach and mentor junior engineers on integration best practices and troubleshooting techniquesQualifications:Required:Active Secret security clearanceMaster's degree in Engineering or Mathematics10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and/or systems integrationStrong understanding of software design concepts, patterns, tools, and integration best practicesDemonstrated experience integrating software with hardware, communications, or other specialized engineering domainsExperience with distributed and asynchronous programming modelsExperience designing and documenting hardware/software interfaces between complex system componentsStrong understanding of system security and information assurance processes for government complianceProven track record of providing technical leadership in architecture, engineering, and integration servicesExcellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex, multi-layer technical issuesStrong communication skills with ability to interface effectively with customers, suppliers, and technical teamsDesired:Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibilityExperience with CMOSS/MORA interface standards and VPX architecturesExperience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platformsExperience with DevSecOps pipeline tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, and/or ForemanExperience with Web Technologies such as Angular, JavaScript/React, HTML5, and CSSExperience with database programming and integrationExperience in service-based development and microservice architecturesWorking knowledge of signal processing fundamentals for SIGINT/EW applicationsExperience developing and integrating Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applicationsJava development experienceWillingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application or serviceFamiliarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and system authorization processesExperience supporting government intelligence or defense program offices-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
