Nuro is seeking a Software Reliability Engineer for a 12-month temporary full-time position based in Mountain View, California. This role involves designing, building, and operating systems for our autonomous vehicle platform.

This is a 12 month temporary full‑time position with full benefits and potential for extension based on performance and business needs. As a Software Reliability Engineer at Nuro, you will help design, build, and operate systems that support our autonomous vehicle platform and fleet operations. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from early design and deployment through operations and continuous improvement. You’ll join an on‑call rotation to stay close to real‑world operations. At its core, the role is building resilient systems through automation, observability, and operational feedback. This is an opportunity to influence how reliability is engineered into Nuro’s platform as it scales up and out across new cities.
For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $109,250 and $163,370. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
