Position Description

Gruve Inc, a Data and AI Services company with a customer-focused culture, is seeking an experienced Software Product Manager / Development Lead to lead the development and delivery of enterprise-grade software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software product management or development leadership, with expertise in web application development, API design, monitoring solutions, and CI/CD principles. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Provide technical direction and ensure adherence to best practices in all phases of development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements.

Web Application Development

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure, and efficient web applications.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain high-quality web-based platforms and services.

API Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure APIs are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Monitoring Solution Portal

  • Design and implement portals for tracking performance metrics, analytics, and system health.
  • Integrate monitoring tools to provide actionable insights into system performance.
  • Drive adoption of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices within the team.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks, code reviews, and streamlined deployment pipelines for fast and reliable releases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, UX/UI) to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on goals and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years in software development or product management roles in enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Software Product Manager or Development Lead managing delivery of complex projects.
  • Expertise in API design and development (RESTful APIs).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams across geographies (US/India).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail for managing complex enterprise projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certifications: PMP certification or Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
