Apple, Inc. seeks a Software Performance Engineer for Memory, CoreOS in Cupertino. You will collaborate with teams across iOS, macOS, watchOS to understand performance bottlenecks and optimize system components. Expect hands-on profiling, feature development, and building analysis tools to drive faster, smoother software across Apple devices.

The role emphasizes coding in Swift/SwiftUI/Obj-C and integrating with Xcode Instruments to instrument and measure performance at scale.

Formación

The OS Performance team is responsible for making your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch run smoothly and speedily release after release. Description

Make a difference to iOS, macOS and watchOS by collaborating with software teams all over Apple. This position will require engaging with other engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of problem domains when developing features and helping them solve those problems with performance in mind. We evangelize best practices, help teams measure and understand their performance as well as optimize their existing software. To do that, as well as to help build the tools needed for analysis, a moderate amount of coding experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one object oriented language and at least one scripting language such as Python or Ruby
• Enjoys debugging or analysis work
• Experience writing native apps for (or debugging) iOS, macOS or watchOS preferred
• BS/MS in CS/CE or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xcode Instruments suite
• Skills for understanding large system architectures
• Interested in several areas of software (operating systems, graphics, UI Applications, ML, compilers, etc)
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• Competent and has delivered software written in Swift/SwiftUI/Objective-C

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
