Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 3 to integrate, test, deploy and troubleshoot mission services across on-prem and AWS Cloud environments. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and extensive Linux expertise, scripting, and DevOps tooling across heterogeneous systems.

The candidate will implement automation, manage software configurations, and support secure, reliable operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting complex software in mixed OS environments.
• Active clearance TS/SCI with polygraph to apply.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, test, deploy and troubleshoot production mission services in on-prem and AWS Cloud.
• Maintain and automate Linux environments and software stacks.
• Develop Bash/Python scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Apply DevOps tooling and IaC practices to sustain reliable operations.

• Position Description: The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the integration, test, deployment, and troubleshooting of various production-ready mission services deployed in an on-prem enclave and AWS Cloud environments. Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. OR The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience. OR An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A master's degree in computer science or related field may substitute for two (2) years experience. Position Required Skills:
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate manual processes
• Proficient performing Linux System Administration
• Experience installing, configuring, and sustaining COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a Linux environment
• Foundational knowledge of DevOps Tooling (e.g., CI/CD, Git)
• Experience with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem (NiFi, HDFS, Map/Reduce)
• Experience with installing, configuring, and sustaining multiple NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Accumulo
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, containerd)
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Puppet)
• Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana) Position Desired Skills:
• Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• AWS Cloud experience
