Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Software Integration Engineer 3 to install, configure, and maintain a large multi-tenant on-prem Kubernetes cluster supporting mission-critical applications. You will collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to automate integration of new services while ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

Requires 8+ years in software integration with Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools; TS/SCI with polygraph is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting software in heterogeneous environments.
  • Linux CLI experience and script writing in Bash/Python.
  • Kubernetes workloads troubleshooting, networking, ingress, storage, and performance.
  • Docker containerization experience.
  • Kubernetes cluster administration and monitoring.
  • IaC concepts and automation tools (Helm, Ansible).
  • Prometheus or Grafana monitoring experience.
  • Git for source control and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a large-scale multi-tenant Kubernetes on-prem cluster.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and App teams to automate and integrate new services in Kubernetes.
  • Enforce best practices, ensuring reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

  • Position Description: The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large-scale multi-tenant Kubernetes "on-prem" cluster which serves as the foundation for mission-critical applications across multiple tenants. In this role, the Software Integration Engineer shall collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. OR The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience. OR An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years experience. Position Required Skills:
  • Experience with Linux CLI
  • Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads, networking, ingress, storage, and performance
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Demonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Helm and Ansible
  • Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
  • Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration Position Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
