Job summary

Lone Star National Bank is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to design, develop and maintain high-quality data and application integrations supporting core business processes and customer needs.

You will partner with IT and third-party teams to implement API-based or file-based integrations, conduct tests, and document designs and results while monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent of directly related work experience.
• 3–7 years of experience as a software engineer or similar development or integration role.
• 3 years minimum working in a Banking or financial services industry.
• Software and/or Integration developer or engineer certifications (Azure, Oracle, Kubernetes, etc) a plus.
• Strong proficiency in one or more coding and/or database languages (Javascript, C++, Python, Java, .Net, SQL, Postgres, Powershell).
• Experience with development platforms (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with system integration technologies (RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0, event brokers, data virtualization).
• Experience with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Zapier).
• Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
• Strong knowledge of integration design and development processes (development, testing, debugging).
• Demonstrable experience in data integration and workflow scripting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and customer requirements to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve efficiencies and processes through integration.
• Design and implement integration flows and enhancements, including APIs and/or file-based integrations.
• Partner with IT and third party development teams to support and provide oversight in designing and developing integration solutions and prototypes.
• Determine, conduct, and automate integration tests, load tests, and performance tests, including facilitating set-up of test data and accounts.
• Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals.
• Proactively monitor integration performance and troubleshoot, resolve, and report integration issues to impacted teams and stakeholders.
• Adhere to established development and integration processes, best practices, and standards.
• Use user and stakeholder feedback to guide the development of new products and integration enhancements.
• Participate in integration vendor and tool selection to meet business needs and support development team workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes.
• Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues
• Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
• Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
• Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel

JOB SUMMARYThe software integration engineer develops a strategy and partners with delivery teams to design, develop and maintain efficient and high-quality integrations connecting data, applications and third parties that support business processes and customer needs. The integration engineer also monitors and analyzes existing integrations to improve their performance and efficiency.
