Alldus in New York is seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading financial services client. You will develop the systems behind systematic trading strategies and build high-performance applications for market data processing, research, forecasting and trade execution.

The role emphasizes advanced C++ development, low-latency design, and reliable, scalable systems. Collaboration with quantitative researchers and exposure to financial markets are beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar.
• Advanced C++ engineering experience, including building robust, maintainable production software.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimisation, distributed systems, and complex data pipelines.
• Ability to assess interconnected systems and make sound architectural decisions.
• Experience in systems where correctness, reliability and recovery are critical.
• Own complex technical work and prioritise it according to business impact.
• Experience in financial markets is a bonus but not essential.
