Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a backend engineer to design and build production-grade services in Java and Python, shipping them with modern DevOps/CI-CD practices and infusing AI/ML capabilities into the platform.

The team runs a large-scale distributed cloud service. Responsibilities include building and scaling services, owning them end-to-end, automating CI/CD pipelines, and applying DevOps patterns with containers and IaC.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with strong Java and Python skills.
• 3+ years of CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• 3+ years of DevOps experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle.
• Linux and networking experience.
