Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Software Engineering Senior Manager in St. Louis, MO to lead a team delivering cloud‑based solutions across the full SDLC.

You will manage Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and automation testing, working with product owners to drive secure, scalable software and robust user experiences. Responsibilities include workload monitoring, budgeting, and production support while ensuring HIPAA/ security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4 years of experience (may accept 3–4 year degree).
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies.
• Reviewing new business requirements and recommending technology solutions and architecture design.
• Developing APIs, data models, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams;
• Using SQL, Cloud/VM infrastructure, modern IDEs, Version Control Systems, OAuth, Salesforce, Pega, Siebel, NIST, and HITRUST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workloads of the team and communicate progress to leadership.
• Lead engineers focused on Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and full‑stack automation testing.
• Collaborate with product owners/managers to deliver cloud‑based solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and implement robust solutions across agile teams.
• Oversee Salesforce platform operations including change/release management and incident resolution.
• Manage budgets, resourcing, and high‑level program plans.
• Lead on/offshore and local teams to drive innovation and quality.
• Ensure health of production systems and adherence to security controls.

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Senior Manager for the St. Louis, MO location to work as part of team to help to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution including SDLC and Project Management strategy (i.e. waterfall, Kanban/Agile and Change Management).

Responsibilities

• Monitor workloads of team while meeting client expectations and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.
• Manage technology development and deliverables by leading a team of engineers focused on Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and full-stack and automation test engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners and managers, delivering robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful user experiences.
• Engage and collaborate across agile teams to design, develop, test and implement robust solutions.
• Address day-to-day operations for Salesforce platform by owning: change/ release management, DevOps (CI/CD), operational readiness, and production administration and incident resolution.
• Effectively manage budget: estimate resourcing and costs, supporting business cases and high-level program plans.
• Lead team members (off/on shore, local/remove), focused on all aspects of our Salesforce platform to drive innovation, quality, and customer excellence.
• Measure, monitor, and ensure the health of production systems.
• Ensure healthcare information security best practice controls are in place and adhere to HIPAA utilizing a common control framework (i.e. NIST, HITRUST CSF).
• Support off-hour releases as needed.

Qualifications

• Using: SQL, Cloud/VM infrastructure and technologies, Modern IDEs, Version Control Systems, OAuth, Salesforce, Pega, Siebel, NIST, and HITRUST CSF.
