Experience building and scaling teams, driving complex cross‑functional projects, and thriving under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role. This candidate should be experienced in building strong partnerships, mentoring diverse talent, and creating an inclusive team culture.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Establish best practices for code quality, system design, and operational excellence
  • Mentor and develop engineers, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions
  • Participate in incident response and lead post‑mortems to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including SRE, finance, and product to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Balance technical debt reduction with feature development to maintain system health
  • Champion engineering best practices across the broader organization
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve system efficiency and reliability
  • Build and maintain infrastructure platforms that enable critical business capabilities
  • Implement robust systems that ensure efficient operation at Apple scale
  • Develop tools and automation to improve operational efficiency
  • Create self‑service platforms and APIs for internal customers
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical infrastructure systems
  • Drive standardization and best practices across the infrastructure landscape

  • Proficiency in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, networking concepts, and infrastructure as code
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to influence without authority
Preferred Qualifications
