Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks an ambitious engineering leader to guide Integrated Product Teams in planning, organizing, and executing engineering content for flight-simulator programs.

The role requires self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and ownership, with responsibility for large, cross-functional initiatives, CAM reviews, and lifecycle delivery of complex simulations and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software, Systems, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of USG/DoD development program experience.
• 3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG/DoD development programs.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft Project.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
• The PE provides technical leadership over the assigned engineering team on a program, including reviews, PMRs, and coordinating technical activity among IPTs.
• Conduct weekly/monthly CAM reviews with IPTs, ensuring technical, cost and schedule performance.
• Communicate with customers or vendors as needed throughout the program lifecycle.
• Report to a Directorate Chief Engineer and deliver Product Line solutions.
• Improve processes, systems, or solutions to enhance performance in the job area.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable engineering plans and execution.

Summary

Are you ready for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an ambitious engineering leader to join our team. This position requires the successful candidate to perform lead, coordinate and exercise technical program execution authority over Integrated product teams for planning, organizing, controlling, integration, execution and close out of engineering content on a variety of flight simulator programs.

This role is for a leader who is self-motivated and demonstrates a positive approach, strong work ethic, and ownership for their work. Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives involving cross-functional teams. Performing Cost Account Maangment (CAM) reviews with IPTS and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.

• Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
• The PE performs as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program to include leading/participating in program peer & gate reviews, supporting program management reviews (PMRs), and coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs.
• The PE performs weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.
• Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors.
• The PE receives engineering direction from and is accountable to a Directorate Chief Engineer (DCE), who has overall Program Engineering responsibility for successfully proposing, developing and delivering Product Line solutions.
• Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.
• Implement strategic goals established by leadership.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software, Systems, Mechanical Engineer or Computer Science
• 8+ years of USG/DoD development program experience
• 3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG/DoD development programs
• 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft Project
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced master’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience within the training and simulation industry
• 3+ years of experience performing as liaison between program management, engineering management, and the technical disciplines involved in a project.
• 3+ years of experience performing as primary technical interface with USG/DoD customers.

Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

• Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
