Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead security-focused engineering for FaceTime, Phone, and Voice features. This team shapes and drives FaceTime's private and secure calling experience. We do this by living on our software, developing defensible opinions on what to build and what to change, having empathy for the countless users in the world who rely on us every day, and protecting them from the people who would exploit that trust.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have interest in or exposure to security and privacy topics, such secure coding practices, encryption, threat modeling. If not familiar, you have curiosity, drive, and ability to develop technical depth in security and privacy.
• You have familiarity with networking systems: peer-to-peer, client-server, or low-latency communication architectures
• You have experience with secure communication protocols, especially in handling untrusted data or operating in adversarial environments.
• You have interest in or experience with abuse prevention, anti-spam, or fraud detection in communication or platform products.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,700 and $338,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
