Requirements
Must have:
- – We need 7+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software and systems development.
- – We need at least 2 years of experience leading projects and/or technical teams.
- – We prefer experience with Agile development practices; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
- – You should bring strong analytical depth and a solid understanding of microcontrollers, digital control/feedback circuits, and user interfaces.
- – Experience with systems involving motion, fluid dynamics, and/or thermal dynamics is highly desirable.
- – You should have demonstrated leadership experience with functional teams and direct reports.
- – You need strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
- – We are looking for deep proficiency in C/C++ programming; assembly language knowledge is a plus.
- – You should have programming experience with PIC and ARM microcontrollers.
- – You need extensive experience with SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, and TCP/IP communication protocols.
- – Experience with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS or Linux is required.
- – Familiarity with IoT, Industry 4.0, and/or IPC CFX is a plus.
- – You should be comfortable debugging hardware and software using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in‑circuit emulators.
- – You must be able to document and explain system designs and algorithms clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- – You should be able to read, evaluate, and interpret technical publications, professional journals, and applicable government regulations.
- – We value creativity, inventiveness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- – Understanding of convection heating, conduction heating, fluid dispensing, motion control, or vision systems is a plus.
- – We require a BS in Computer Science with at least 10 years of experience in the responsibilities described above.
- – An MS in Computer Science is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- – We lead software engineering efforts and foster a productive, growth‑oriented team environment.
- – We develop and maintain embedded software processes for development, testing, release, and deployment.
- – We work closely with engineering and product management to define the software ecosystem for our product portfolios.
- – We conduct software reviews and contribute to requirements analysis, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.
- – We mentor software engineers on coding standards, testing practices, maintenance, and documentation.
- – We compile project data and prepare reports on software‑related tasks.
- – We participate in complex, high‑scope projects involving advanced soldering and dispensing equipment.
- – We collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver new product launches on time and within budget.
- – We help develop system and subsystem software specifications, proposals, and proof‑of‑concept solutions.
- – We design, code, and debug applications for prototypes and production systems, including microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and user interfaces.
- – We develop and implement software testing and quality assurance practices.
- – We perform additional duties as assigned.
