Centro Escolar University in Austin, TX seeks a student pursuing a Computer Science or Engineering degree to contribute to software feature development. You will participate in research, design, development, and documentation, and collaborate on design discussions and code architecture.

Ideal candidates have experience with C++ and LabVIEW, and are familiar with Git and Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of OO design and data structures is expected, with a passion for learning new technologies.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver product features by participating in research, design, development, and documentation efforts.
• Collaborate with team members and project leaders on design discussions and code architecture.
• Specify, design, and implement new product features.
• Develop unit and automated functional tests to ensure high code quality and catch future regressions.
• Participate in team activities including standups, backlog reviews, retrospectives, and brainstorming sessions.
• Explore and explore new technologies to continually improve infrastructure and processes.

About You

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or similar).
• Understanding of good software design and architecture principles including data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

• Experience programming in C++.
• Experience using source code control (e.g., Git).
• Experience working in the Azure DevOps environment.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively, take initiative, work independently, persistently drive tasks to completion, take ownership of goals, listen attentively, quickly learn applicable technology, and a strong work ethic.
• Experience programming in LabVIEW.
