Job summary

Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics.

Measurement, Analytics and Control (MACH) Division

The Measurement, Analytics and Control (MACH) division is KLA’s software powerhouse, responsible for developing high-performance software platforms that support semiconductor manufacturing. MACH delivers cutting-edge technologies in patterning analytics, modeling, and data science—empowering chipmakers to ramp next-gen devices faster and more efficiently. What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. We're seeking a motivated Software Engineer intern to join our Austin development team for the summer of 2027. You will own a dedicated, high-impact project from start to finish, working alongside an experienced developer as your mentor.

The Project

Our team builds OVALiS, a .NET/C# application used in semiconductor manufacturing. We are actively exploring how AI can change the way we develop software, and your project will be one of these initiatives: a well-defined problem with a tangible outcome that advances how the team works. You will work with your mentor to define the approach and deliver the result. Over the summer, you will: Own a real problem end to end: from design to a working result Learn how a production .NET/C# codebase is built, tested, and shipped Work with modern AI development tools and learn to apply them well Share your results with our development team.

  Required Qualifications
