Gartner seeks an experienced leader in software engineering to manage a global advisory service for enterprise IT leaders. The ideal candidate will have over 20 years in software engineering leadership and experience with direct reporting to C-level executives.
Your role will involve managing a portfolio of clients, delivering value through various engagements, and driving member retention. Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills are essential, and a master's degree is preferred.
Enterprise IT Leaders (EITL) is an executive‑level advisory service that delivers expert insight and guidance tailored to each member’s context and most critical initiatives. EITL covers seven domains within IT: Applications, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, Program & Portfolio Management, Security & Risk, Sourcing & Vendor Management.
We are looking for an individual who has held the role of Director or VP of Software Engineering or Enterprise Applications and has owned the full lifecycle of the application portfolio. Demonstrated knowledge of software trends, emerging best practices for front‑end and full‑stack product design, and ability to articulate technology and business adoption scenarios are required. A management‑consulting background, experience leading large‑scale ERP programs, and involvement in digital transformation initiatives are highly desirable.
