Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Software Engineer VI in Louisville, KY to contribute to enterprise platforms and applications used by field operations teams. You will build REST APIs with NodeJS, develop GIS-based tools, and support BAU with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Harness and Kubernetes.

You will mentor developers, review code, design data models for NoSQL databases, and work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software with comprehensive unit testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with professional experience in API development.
• 4 years of REST API experience with NodeJS in a business environment.
• 3 years of Agile development experience in delivering enterprise software.
• 1 year of CI/CD tool experience (Jenkins, Docker, Harness, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise REST APIs using NodeJS.
• Build and maintain Magellan Engineering platform features for BAU, high-split and RDOF initiatives.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Mentor new developers and perform code reviews.
• Design data models and optimize queries for document-based databases.
• Prepare documentation and ensure unit testing / test-driven development coverage.

Title: Software Engineer VI (Multiple Openings)

Location: Louisville, KY

Job Summary

Perform software engineering to support the ongoing development and maintenance of enterprise platforms and applications used by Charter's field operations construction and technical teams. Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Harness and Kubernetes. Develop and maintain the Magellan Engineering platform which provides essential features for OSP network design, ISP, FTTx, automation to support BAU, High Split & RDOF initiatives, as well as tools to diagnose and address network outages. Develop enterprise-level GIS application. Build REST APIs using NodeJS in a business environment. Provide effective technical solutions in alignment with technology-related decisions to ensure project deadlines are met. Mentor new developers and review code. Utilize a NoSQL Database. Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to deliver product features in an Agile environment. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Design data models and implement efficient queries and aggregate pipelines for any document-based database. Document and maintain software functionality.

Education/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or related field. 4 years of experience in building REST APIs using NodeJS in a business environment; and utilizing a NoSQL Database (such as, but not limited, to MongoDB). 3 years of experience in utilizing Agile methodologies to ship code; and in developing enterprise-level GIS application. 1 year of experience utilizing CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Harness and Kubernetes.
