Title: Software Engineer

Pay: $65.00/hr. on W2

Location: Mount Laurel, NJ - REMOTE

Duration: 6 -month contract to hire

Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required (Ability to obtain Secret clearance if candidate becomes FTE)

Shift: 4/10 schedule, 1st shift

Note: Remote work is acceptable. However, the candidate must be willing to travel to our lab facility at the Tech Campus in Mount Laurel, NJ, at their own expense, as occasional visits may be required. Otherwise, the position will be fully remote.

We in the Machinery Controls & Automation Products department provide the control system capabilities that enable safe, reliable, and efficient shipboard operations across multiple platforms and customers. This position will be responsible for developing software according to requirements, supporting system test and performance analyses, and developing and delivering software-related artifacts to the customer. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Skills Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining software using C++, Python, Java, and Java Script.
• Experience with software requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and software verification.
• Experience using version-control tools such as Git and working within established software configuration-management processes.
