Job summary

LaunchCode is assisting NGA partner in recruiting a Mid-Level Software Engineer (TS/SCI) for a critical intelligence project in St. Louis, MO or Springfield, VA. The role focuses on building React.js front-ends and Python back-ends, with RESTful services and AWS deployment.

The candidate will contribute across the software lifecycle, work with enterprise databases and microservice architectures, and interface with mission stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering/development.
• Experience with Python enterprise application development.
• Experience building high-performance front-end apps using React.js.
• Foundational knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience with web services architecture, design, and development.
• Experience with relational database design.
• Experience with spatial database design.
• Experience with NoSQL database design.
• Experience with microservice architecture, design, and development.
• Experience working in AWS and utilizing AWS tooling such as S3.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
