Job summary

Google’s Kirkland-based Trust and Safety team seeks a software engineer to design and deploy AI-driven safety features at scale. You’ll work across the stack, building models, experiments, and tooling to protect users while enabling innovation.

This role emphasizes distributed systems, AI solutions, and proactive safeguarding of billions of users. At Google, compensation includes base salary, annual bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
• 3 years of experience architecting distributed systems, infrastructure or agentic systems.
• Experience building and deploying agentic AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, test, and deploy new AI-enabled trust features.
• Troubleshoot and debug to ensure high-quality user experience.
• Work across the stack from model building to tooling and infrastructure.
• Collaborate across teams to solve challenging problems at the intersection of tech, automation, and safety.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Job description

• Scope, design, test, and deploy new features and components that leverage AI to automate and enhance trust and safety operations, enabling teams to scale their user protection impact efficiently.
