Job summary

GliaCell Technologies in Maryland seeks a senior software engineer to modernize existing applications, build new features, and deliver reliable, secure software for government-focused projects.

You will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deploy and validate software, and create infrastructure as code. The role requires strong collaboration, disciplined communication, and the ability to work independently within an Agile team, with partial telework after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and US citizenship.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• BS in Computer Science or related field; or 4 additional years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, and Git/GitLab.
• Web application development experience.
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes or Docker Compose.

• We require U.S. citizenship.
• We look for 7+ years of software engineering experience and a BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• We accept four additional years of software engineering experience on comparable projects in place of a bachelors degree.
• We need someone who can work independently as well as collaboratively.
• We value strong verbal and written communication skills.
• We are seeking experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, and Git/GitLab.
• We look for experience in web application development.
• We need experience with Docker containers and an orchestration tool such as Kubernetes or Docker Compose.
