APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Analyze and ensure compliance with international digital identity regulations and standards, including ISO/IEC 18013-5, ISO/IEC 23220, and ICAO standards (eMRTD, e-passport PKI); translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications for mobile implementation. Lead technical architecture and integration efforts with government agencies and third-party identity providers for digital credential issuance and verification programs. Lead the technical strategy and architecture for promoting faster global adoption of passport-based digital credentials, including integration with international identity standards and regional deployment requirements. Apply on-device machine learning models for identity verification, biometric matching, and fraud detection workflows. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on identity architecture, cryptographic implementation, and secure coding practices; lead technical design reviews and author architecture proposals for cross-functional review. Design analytics pipelines to monitor identity system health, adoption metrics, and fraud signals. Architect secure client-server identity protocols and API integrations; optimize performance of cryptographic operations, concurrency scheduling, and credential caching. Drive usability evaluations and incorporate findings into product decisions. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
