Job summary

Synechron is seeking a SWIFT technologist in Charlotte to develop and deliver complex SWIFT-related requirements. The role ensures SWIFT software is installed, configured, and supported to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance needs, with knowledge of multiple SWIFT services and messaging formats.

You will contribute to delivery lifecycle, refine stories, and guide estimating efforts while maintaining quality through testing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in installing patches, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing SWIFT products.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats and protocols.
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, visuals) and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to deliver business results.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to story refinement and requirement definitions.
  • Estimate work for delivering stories per acceptance criteria.
  • Perform proof of concept to mitigate risk or test new ideas.
  • Implement solutions and unit test per requirements and compliance.

You will be a part of Swift Development Team (CIO) working with CTO Production Support Partners and Project partners. SWIFT technologist is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that SWIFT provided software is installed, configured, and supported to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Requires knowledge for different services provided by the SWIFT network.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $115K to $120K per annum & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Implement solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
Requirements:
  • Strong Technology background with BFSI industry experience.
  • 3 to 5 years hands‑on experience in installing patches, maintaining, troubleshoot and testing SWIFT products: SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, SWIFT Net Link
  • Able to demonstrate a knowledge of all SWIFT messaging formats
  • Demonstrated experience in SWIFT protocols
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, visual presentations, and effective listening skills
  • Ability and desire to think creatively to deliver business results both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in Alliance Messaging Hub a plus
  • Good understanding of the SDLC lifecycle
  • Experience with SWIFT Hardware Security Modules
