Job summary

Cisco Norway is offering a summer Software Engineer Internship in Lysaker/Oslo with a hybrid setup requiring three days in the office. The internship runs from June 15 to August 6, 2027, and applicants should be enrolled in a relevant degree program and prepared to work in Norway without visa sponsorship.

You will collaborate with a 300+ engineering team across hardware and software, receive mentorship, and contribute to real projects such as analytics, AI, and cloud-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related subject.
• Ability to live and work in Norway for the duration of the summer internship (no visa or relocation support is provided for this position)

Your Impact

The specific project you will work on will be determined based on your field of interest and our current needs. The following examples are projects that previous interns have been working on:

• office room analytics application based on live and historical sensor data from our devices
• noise reduction with deep learning
• synchronous camera focusing for immersive systems
• showing personal calendars in meeting rooms based on face recognition
• using Falco on Kubernetes for threat detection
• implement and accelerate our Head Detection model in a FPGA camera
• depth estimation of meeting rooms using deep learning

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related subject.
