Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an intern for our Command Central Software Enterprise to contribute to CAD software development, both on-premise and cloud-based solutions for public safety agencies.

You will join an advanced software development team, participate in design and testing activities, and collaborate with multiple teams. The role requires pursuing CS/CE degrees with a 2027+ graduation, and may require background clearance for government customers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with graduation date on or after December 1, 2027.
• F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for Masters-level students.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering management with accurate effort estimates for projected work

Department Overview

Bring your talent and skills to Motorola Solutions, as part of the Command Central Software Enterprise. This software developer position will be a member of the team working on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software (enterprise grade software and cloud based solutions) for Public Safety Agencies. These products are required to rise to the challenges of enterprises and governments worldwide enabling first responders to focus on their mission, allowing them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions.

Job Description

Work as a contributing member of an advanced software development team using modern software development techniques to produce world-class public safety software both for on- premise and cloud based solutions.

Responsibilities

This position is potentially subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" which would require successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc.
