Job summary

Peraton is seeking a software engineering professional with an active TS/SCI clearance to join a mission-focused analytics team. You will collaborate with the mission group to deliver impactful insights and will participate in on-call rotations as part of the role.

The position requires at least eight years of software development experience, a technical bachelor’s degree (or 5 years substitute), and certifications such as CKAD or AWS DevOps/Developer.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required; five (5) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer.

Responsibilities

This group works closely with the mission group, so they can see immediate impacts their work is having. There is an on-call component to this position.

Highly Desired:

• Willingness to support on-call status rotated throughout the team
• Familiarity with Git, Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable DevOps experience
• Familiarity with Spring Framework/Spring Batch
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with test frameworks such as Junit and Mockito
• Familiarity with UI frameworks such as ReactJS
• Familiarity with agency data flow formats and standards
• Familiarity with analyst toolkit applications
• Recent work experience with Java (Maven) with some Python
• Recent work experience with Streaming data frameworks (Flink, Spring Cloud Data Flow)

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
