Job summary

Voleon is seeking a Software Engineer in Strategy Research Analytics to design and evolve the analytics infrastructure that supports research reporting across strategies. You will own recurring analytics pipelines, guide the transition to a standardized, query-native analytics platform, and shape technical direction with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and operating analytics infrastructure.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with distributed query engines and large-scale compute systems.
• Ownership of large-scale data infrastructure and reproducible pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring analytics pipelines (e.g., Airflow DAGs) and improve reliability.
• Lead architectural evolution of the analytics platform and standardize outputs.
• Drive cross-team alignment for consolidated analytics outputs.
• Build and maintain base analytics tables and metrics with strong schemas.
• Define reliability standards (SLOs, observability, runbooks).
• Improve data discoverability with documentation and data contracts.
• Optimize distributed compute and SQL performance for columnar formats.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and best practices.
