SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP is hiring a Software Engineer for the Starship Supply Chain team in Starbase, TX. This role involves developing data pipelines, collaborating with software teams, and owning multiple projects throughout their lifecycle. Ideal candidates are problem-solvers with a background in computer science or relevant experience.
Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience in data engineering or software development. Remote work is not considered for this position, as it requires onsite presence.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
The Starship Supply Chain team is building the machine that builds the machine. We are engineering a supply chain to feed Starfactory and support thousands of Starship launches per year. Our team spans planning, procurement, supplier development, quality, material flow, and inventory.
At the heart of this effort is the Data and Operations Engineering team. We build data pipelines, improve processes, and develop tools and automation that inform, accelerate, and focus the organization.
Aerospace experience is not required to succeed here. Instead, we look for smart, motivated, and collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to make a meaningful impact on an inspiring mission. You will own challenging problems end-to-end, working alongside a team of enthusiastic engineers to design and deliver solutions that help SpaceX move toward its goals at a rapid pace.
