Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain components for internal test platforms like ScenarioKit. You will build automated pipelines for running tests on local and cloud infrastructure (GCP) and develop tools for ML-based perception and planning systems.

The role requires advanced degree and experience in Python/C++, ML, CV, SQL, and cloud-based environments. 100% telecommuting is permitted, with base compensation in a strong annual range plus incentive

DUTIES:

Design, implement, and maintain software components for internal test creation platforms (ScenarioKit). Build and maintain automated pipelines for the execution of simulation tests across local and cloud-based (GCP) infrastructure. Develop tools and scripts to facilitate the testing of Machine Learning (ML) based perception and planning systems. Analyze simulation failure cases to support the continuous improvement of model performance and AV safety. 100% telecommuting permitted.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and One (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation One (1) year of experience with: Python and C++ for software development and Automation; Designing, developing, and validating of simulation environments, robotics systems, or autonomous system software; SQL or similar database querying tools, and data processing in large-scale computing environments; Machine Learning models and Computer Vision systems; and Cloud-based development environments for scalable software execution.

Compensation:

The expected base compensation for this role is $176,000.00 to $234,100.00 Annually.

Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
