The Software Engineering Co‑op is responsible for the creation, enhancement, development, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that will shape the future of the security industry.

Primary responsibilities will be developing automation for processes and tool interactions for LenelS2’s software products and Engineering Shared Services functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize scripting languages for automation against APIs.
• Working with senior engineers, security engineers, technical writers, and product owners to deliver features.
• Writing code to support product features, infrastructure, and deployment.
• Working with Engineering Tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Perforce, Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
• Participating in peer review to both share and receive feedback.
• Designing, developing, testing, and demoing as needed within a delivery team.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field
• 3.0 or higher GPA
• Applicant must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference is being given to the candidate from Rochester Institute of Technology. This co‑op is a partnership between Rochester Institute of Technology and their career center.
• Relocation is not provided for RIT students
• You have a strong computer science background.
• You have a desire to continuously improve and grow as an engineer.
• Experience developing in one of the following languages: NodeJS, Python, Groovy, or PowerShell.
• Experience with development against APIs.
• Passion for automation.
• Highly motivated, fast learner who works well both independently and within a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
