Role Overview

This senior engineer helps software teams adopt AI-assisted development tools and work more efficiently. Day to day, you build internal tooling, automation, and integrations, and prototype solutions using AI coding assistants and agent-based technologies. You also create reusable templates and reference implementations, run workshops and office hours, and build dashboards that track adoption and productivity. The work spans the full software delivery lifecycle and involves close collaboration with platform, architecture, and security teams. Hard-to-find combination: senior-level engineering depth plus hands-on, practical AI tooling experience applied to developer workflows.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 10+ years in IT

Technical Skills:

• Python: scripts and applications for automation, AI integration, and developer enablement
• Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems: applying AI concepts and tools to real developer workflows and helping teams use them responsibly (hard to find at senior level)

Preferred Qualifications

• Java: familiarity with Java codebases and supporting AI and developer tools used by Java teams
• Test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
• Experience with AI coding assistants and agent-based development platforms (adjacent)
• Experience leading technical workshops or training for engineers (adjacent)
