Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Semantic Understanding within Search Ads Personalization in Mountain View, CA.

You will contribute to end-to-end personalization stacks, enriching user interactions with content, and building real-time representations of user viewed content. You will work across Ads teams and research groups to push AI-driven capabilities, including Gemini integration, for a global advertising platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
• 1 year of experience building and deploying recommendation systems models in production.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, data processing).
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Multi-Modal, or Large Vision Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in or lead design reviews to decide among available technologies.
• Review code to ensure best practices, testing, and efficiency.
• Build model and architectural components for attention over user preferences and history.
• Design real-time infrastructure and representations of user viewed content.
