Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, seeks a Software Engineer in Product Security to build and deploy security tooling for our data platforms and multi-cloud environments.

You will influence architecture, implement automation, and drive reliable security services across the production stack while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Software Engineering role (event-driven systems, data ingestion pipelines, internal automation tools, internal monitoring tools).
  • Experience developing in Golang, Python, React, Angular, and/or Typescript.
  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containers, software cryptographic signing, and OSS dependencies.
  • Experience with data engineering and datastore/queue operations (OpenSearch, Valkey, Postgres, Kafka, SQS, etc.), including technology selection and owning the health, capacity, and maintenance of those systems in production.
  • Experience managing end-to-end SDLC, including design, implementation, and delivery, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and mission outcomes.
  • Experience with Generative AI, both as a productivity tool and creating services that leverage LLMs.
  • Experience with configuration management & orchestration software such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet, etc.
  • Experience in a Product Security role (product platforms, customer facing applications). SaaS company background is a strong bonus.
  • Broad awareness of the cybersecurity landscape including adversaries, modes of interest, and TTPs.
  • Experience monitoring / analyzing telemetry data from applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience in Security Operations and/or Incident Response.
  • Experience with Cloud-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably AWS or GCP.
  • A combination of confidence and independence... with the prudence to know when to ask for help from the rest of the team.

About The Role:

Help us protect the Security Cloud from the most advanced threats! As a Software Engineer in Product Security, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and deploying security tooling and automation across our Product Security organization. Your team will ensure that our data platforms, operational tools, and security harnesses scale with CrowdStrike’s massive growth and success. You will develop a platform of applications, APIs, and frameworks that allows engineers across Product Security to safeguard our global, multi-cloud production environment!

What You’ll Do:

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
