Job summary

Field AI is building risk-aware, field-ready AI systems that transform robotics. We are seeking an experienced software engineer to own full-stack features from design through production, collaborating with AI, robotics, product, and commercial teams in Irvine, CA.

You will build scalable backends with Node.js and Python, create modern frontends in React, and implement 3D visuals with Three.js. Strong system design, cloud deployment on AWS, and cross‑functional communication are essential to

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of production software experience.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js and React.
• Solid system design across data models, APIs and UI/UX tradeoffs.
• Experience deploying apps on AWS and working with cloud platforms.

What You Will Get To Do

• Own full-stack product features from design through production
• Build scalable backend services using Node.js (Express) and Python

What You Have

• Typically 5–10+ years of experience building and shipping production software
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid system design skills across data modeling, APIs, and UI/UX tradeoffsExperience working with MongoDB and Redis (or similar databases)Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience with BIM or construction technology workflows
• Experience with 3D graphics technologies (Three.js, WebGL, shaders, or similar)
• Familiarity with monorepo architectures (Nx, Lerna)
• Experience integrating with Autodesk platforms (Revit, APS/Forge)Proficiency using the AWS SDK

Our salary range is generous and we take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary; base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
