Job Overview

Join SiFive's tools team to develop and maintain the core tools and flows required for microprocessor design. You will work on simulation and build tools to validate microprocessor designs and build the supporting infrastructure around those flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core tools and design flows for microprocessor architecture.
• Build and test simulation and build tools that validate microprocessor designs.
• Integrate and coordinate multiple tools communicating via files, pipes, shared memory, databases, and REST calls.
• Deliver correct and well‑tested tools to the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Systems‑level programming experience.
• Fluency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Linux‑based development environments and standard toolchains.
• Experience with build tools and languages, including Make and CMake.
• Knowledge of test and verification methodologies for software tools.

Desired Skills

• Above‑average knowledge of processor microarchitecture.
• Detailed profiling experience.
• Experience with simulation and emulation tools, especially development of tools such as QEMU.
