Decisive Point in Sunnyvale, California is looking for a Software Engineer specializing in motion planning for autonomous vehicles. You will develop high-performance planning modules to create traversable trajectories for vehicles in various autonomy scenarios, collaborating with customers to ensure excellence in engineering.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a relevant field and at least 3 years of relevant experience in building production software. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $245,000 annually, alongside a full compensation package.
We are looking for a software engineer with expertise in motion planning for autonomous vehicles or mobile robots. Among your responsibilities will be the development of planning modules that can provide traversable, kinematically‑feasible trajectories for a vehicle to follow in various on‑road autonomy use cases. The modules you develop must be high performance and state‑of‑the‑art due to critical timing constraints and the need to generalize in diverse ODDs (operational design domains).

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for this position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full‑time position in the location listed is: $125,000 – $245,000 USD annually.
