Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement software for our EDA products. You will work on complex algorithms, multi-threading, and high-quality C++ code to meet customer needs and schedules.

You will help ensure performance, scalability, and reliability, participate in Agile processes, and collaborate with a global team. A MS/PhD or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Object oriented software architecture.
• Debugging a complex software stack with Visual Studio / GDB.
• Familiarity with Subversion and AntHillPro build tools.

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery. Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of released product areas. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. Technical lead of one or more projects within a product. Provides input to the technical direction of product areas. Able to solve complex technical problems. Must have a very strong background in mathematics, can apply mathematical solutions in problem solving, and work with existing mathematical solutions in our C/C++ code. Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex projects with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of advanced features of C++ and object oriented design

• Some experience with ECAD systems would be helpful
• Advanced degree (MS, Phd) or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related and 3-5 years of progressive experience in a related occupation.

The pay range for this position is $109,800 - $197,700 annually with a target incentive of 5-8% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
