Job summary

Lyte AI Inc. is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to make LiDAR and camera perception work end-to-end on robots and customer compute platforms. You will own software paths from sensor packets to calibrated point clouds and images, including drivers, CUDA kernels, ROS 2, and CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes reusable components, collaboration with hardware, silicon, and manufacturing teams, and delivering robust, documented software with unit-tested releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field or related experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering on sensor/hardware interfaces.
• Expert-level C++ (C++17+) and Python with modern tooling.
• Experience with ROS 2, Linux networking, and real-time data paths.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sensor drivers, ROS 2 packages, and SDK components.
• Build GPU-accelerated processing and Python bindings for data pipelines.
• Own time synchronization and data-path correctness for high-bandwidth streams.
• Design calibration, KPI, and end-of-line test pipelines for manufacturing.
• Create recording, playback, and visualization tooling for sensor data.
• Manage developer platform: Docker images, packaging, and CI/CD pipelines.
